UNUSUAL ORGANIZATIONS 4 Your Education, Inspiration & Inner Freedom

All about sculpture

All about sculpture

We’ve shared some unusual jobs and unusual people.

Today, we’re looking at some unusual organizations selected for their positive missions.

This one I’d like to be part of: KEYS TO THE RAY 4 YOUR DAY

For organizations, companies, individuals and groups, missions or mission statements can be powerful. They are a kind of prayer for something important to come in. They are intentions for ways of being in our world. When buzz words are shared by more than one individual, this makes them empowered (or stronger than they are alone).

To find out more about each group or company, you may need to click on the words, “click here” or on a picture. It’s kind of a game. See what you discover as you go about your day. Are you game? Notice what “games” people play.

The first organization is absolutely incredible in the way it helps and supports artists, performers, and others who use the arts. The art in us can be under-developed, missed, and misunderstood, and those who work in the arts for their jobs or livelihood can be underfunded, often working long hours without any source of income, payment or job security. Click here to learn more about it, and begin your adventure in supercalifragilisticexpialidocious group awareness!

Click here to continue your adventure and discover how a circle can be more than its rings. It’s located in the metropolitan Toledo, Ohio-area, just in case you lack faith that heaven is here on earth now.

and for an ocean, sky, air, earth – or a boatload – of possibilities that might be exactly what you need: click here now.

The organization represented by the words below has an unusual name. Click on the word, DANCE, in the dark square below. See where it takes you, and see if you can figure out what the company’s name means without reading, by looking and listening only. This incredible company holds the dream of the POFFF and POFFF Master within it. Enjoy, and please, accept this invitation to the…

Sound Healer Aleya Dao, an interview

Q: You’re known as a sound healer and do something called Toning. Could you give us a little description about how you tone and what toning does?
Aleya2Aleya Dao

>>>Toning is a form of sound healing using the voice. When I tone I first listen from my heart the sound I am hearing that is coming from the angelic realms, from my body, or from an individual or group.

As I listen to that sound I invite that sound to be found within my body, my cells, my heart. Once I feel the sound I take a deep breath of air into my belly and I let my breath flow over my vocal cords creating the sound I am hearing. I use my whole body to tone. I literally invite each cell of my body to emit the sound so that when I do tone I have fully received that tone which enables those who are present to fully receive the tone I am emitting.

Whenever I tone, either for an individual healing, or for a group I first hear the sounds of discord that are being held within an individual or group. For every sound that is not in balance there is a sound that can bring that vibration back to balance. As I tone I am listening to the sound of imbalance and I invite my body or the angelic realm that I work with to present the tone that will bring all energies back into harmony. As the healing progresses layers of balancing tones weave into the chaotic sounds that are being held within the individual or individuals that are present. As this weaving occurs, a gentle process of letting go of all that no longer serves occurs.

Q: What kinds of things do you do in your unusual job, and what might a typical day be like for you?

>>>A typical day begins usually with a meditative beach walk where I connect in with the Ocean energy which can sometimes involve the sighting of dolphins.

After my beach walk, work begins. I see clients at my office typically from 10 to 5 three days a week. In my private sessions I help people access their own innate wisdom. We look at the blocks and belief systems that are coming up for them and using the intelligence of their energetic fields, release vibrations that no longer serve.

I have a sound table that I work with when people come in person. The sound table has speakers embedded in it and is hooked up to a microphone.

As I work with people I will sense chaotic sounds and energetic blocks in their fields. When I tone into the microphone, which vibrates the entire massage table they are lying on, I direct the sound using sacred geometry, thought intention, my higher self, and the assistance of the angelic realm, into the energetic or physical disturbance. Within a short period of time (20 to 30 seconds) the vibration in their field begins to hold a more coherent energy. I change the tone as the energy shifts, gently guiding it back into balance. I also look at all discord as a spiritual lesson waiting to happen. So whenever I work with someone and they are wanting to shift the discord, I always ask and hold the space for their soul and all aspects of their being to activate the spiritual lesson, and to update their identity and personality, so that they can move beyond that pattern. I then ask that their soul move into alignment to master that lesson by practicing it, instead of doing the opposite.

Q: Tell the readers of the POFFF what it was like for you as a child
and teenager growing up. Please include what caused you to became interested in acupuncture and then sound healing.

>>>I have a recollection of being a healer and teacher in previous lives, so it seemed a very natural path for me to follow. I was and am very sensitive, so I had to find and create ways of maintaining balance with all of the sounds in the world. The principles, protocols, and toning are the ways that I have found and created that help me maintain clarity and balance within myself. The principles, protocols, and toning also assist me in evolving into a more conscious, awake being.

Q: In what ways can sound, music and toning help young people (and adults) feel better?

>>> Sound healing has the power to relieve depression, anxiety, obsessive disorders, high blood pressure, just to name a few. As we know, music and sound healing are incredibly powerful ways of healing and inspiring the soul. When you tone for yourself (the shower can be a great place to tone) it has the ability to clear your mind, your energy fields, and your chakras.

No matter your age, I recommend chanting, toning, singing, humming whenever you want to shift the space you are in. When we listen to music or sounds that soothe us, our entire body, mind, and spirit tend to move into a more coherent state.

Q: You’re also a teacher, and I believe that young people, if they’re interested, might attend your workshops or weekend retreats. At what age do you begin accepting young people?

>>>It really depends on the individual but I have found people of all ages resonate to the information I teach. In my private practice, I work with the very young explaining to them why their life is the way it is and how to shift it. By the age of 5 children seem to be able to follow the information energetically and get it to a certain degree mentally.

In terms of attending a workshop I recommend 15 and up but it really depends on the being.

Q: Would the experiences you offer train attendees in becoming sound healers? If not, what might young people learn and why might they attend?

>>>I used to teach sound healing workshops but am now coming out with a CD teaching sound healing. It is very difficult to give everyone the type of attention they need in a group setting. I also teach toning in private ‘in person’ sessions with people. In regards to my workshops I teach people how to activate their energetic intelligence. In my workshops, I teach the seven principles, which explain why are lives are the way they are, why we draw certain events into our lives, and how we can learn from them and change the energy that we are pulling into our lives.

At a young age we tend to feel a connection to another world, another way of being, but then as we grow older we tend to forget that “other world,” yet in our hearts we know that somewhere it still exists. When I work with children, teenagers, or adults I remind them of where they are from. They get reconnected to their “spiritual family.” When we can literally feel these beings of light around us, our despair, hopelessness, and sometimes deep depression tends to fade.

Teenagers in particular can go into deep depression as they mature. Their hormones are changing, their brains are still developing, social pressures are enormous, and their desire to fit into some energy can lead them to bond with unhealthy energies. My sense of what teenagers are really asking for is to reconnect with their spiritual families that are still on the other side. They are calling out for help and more resources to guide them in this complicated world. In my workshops I teach people, parents, teenagers how to gather those tools and walk in the world with a greater support structure.

Q: Can you talk about the idea of teams that you present in your workshops, so young people might recognize them?

>>>Teams are a concept I was born with. I thought everyone knew and could perceive their “teams.” As I moved more into the role of being a healer I quickly realized that people did not connect with their teams.

clouds

As children we may perceive our teams as imaginary friends. Then as we grow older we tend to forget. My perspective of teams is that they are beings, other souls that gather around us prior to our incarnation here in this world. They have similar tasks to master.

We have two sets of teams around us, our soul TASK team and our soul PURPOSE team. Our soul task team helps us master our tasks, and our soul purpose team helps us master and accomplish our purpose here in this life. When we work with the energies of these beings that are expressing themselves in these other dimensions, it actually shifts our reality.

Imagine having someone standing next to you in another dimension that you cannot see, but you can feel them, and in your head you can hear them, yet you perceive their energy to be yours, and they are an anxiety ridden soul. Their energy could definitely effect you. So, when I work on your team with you, it shifts your own energy.

Thank you, Aleya. If POFFF readers have questions, please leave a comment and we will try to answer them as time permits.

Scared, Worried? Use Your Energy Potential & Tap Your Fears Away!

Are you worried about lots of stuff?

Do you find it hard to take tests because you get so scared that you forget everything you know?

Do you feel afraid sometimes about the same things, but don’t know what to do about how you feel?

There are many ways to help you with what are called anxiety, phobias, and fears and the ones I mention here are from energy healing, or energy psychology, but the great thing is, you don’t have to be a psychologist to use them.

One way is Hawaiian and is called DMT or the Dynamind Technique. There are instructions on the linked page and they are free. There is a booklet you can send for and if you send a donation, Aloha International will mail you booklets to serve a group you belong to.

Another way was developed by a man named Gary Craig and is called EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique. The POFFF Master learned about it from a father who uses it and has worked with young people. A school psychologist also uses it at Maumee Valley Country Day School in Ohio with young people, and it is part of a research project being conducted there. If you click on the link, you can send for a free EFT manual that will arrive by e-mail. There are videos and other information on the site.

Both systems use tapping that you can do on yourself. The points you tap on are actually acupuncture points, the ancient Chinese method that has a lot of research behind its effectiveness. You can tap your way to self-confidence, and you can prepare for and pass tests feeling calm and safe as many other students and adults have done using these techniques.

You can also overcome shyness and embarrassment that may stop you from being all you dream of being.

Besides these techniques, you can also visit the page called, Chamber of Energy (above) and breathe in the energy there that is called Reiki. The POFFF Master personally uses Reiki and Crystalline Consciousness Technique (CCT) to help her in daily life in situations where she feels uncomfortable or unsure of herself. She recommends both systems, and feels that they are very spiritual, though in no way affiliated with a specific religion.

If you discover something that works for you, please let the POFFF Master know about it by leaving a comment below. What helps you may help someone else, especially someone who right now is saying or feeling that these ideas are ridiculous, stupid, or faulty in some way, or has tried many things and feels that nothing works. Don’t give up!

Please note that even though EFT may be called energy psychology and that some of these techniques are used by therapists and counselors, some problems are best directed to a licensed professional like a school psychologist or a medical doctor, especially if they interrupt your ability to live your life. At the very least, mention reoccuring symptoms or problems when you visit doctors, school counselors, or other helping professionals. If you use any of the practices in this blog, you may be able to cut down on medications or avoid expensive or invasive medical treatments.

One last idea you might try is to take a little time alone. Sit quietly. Breathe in deeply three times. Go deep inside yourself. Pretend you have a magic map that shows you things inside yourself that only you can see. With your eyes closed, look at this map inside you. It may look something like the map Harry Potter uses to locate people inside Hogwarts.

Your map may give you pictures, images, feelings, or shapes and colors of energy inside you. You may know or feel guided how to best use or change that energy so that you feel better. Allow your imagination to bring relief by working with the energy or picture. Change a color, shape, or size of what you find there and then notice what happens to how you feel or what you find in your life.

When I locate energy that doesn’t feel good inside, I use a magic vacuum cleaner to suck it up. It’s a nifty model because it sucks up the energy and changes the energy it picks up. It shoots the changed energy like fairy magic dust or star dust out its back side away from me.

I hope one or more of these techniques helps you today. Energy fields also help you. If you haven’t read the blog on setting these, you might do that now and try it out several times before you have a big test or event. Let me know how you do.

Return of the JEDI

I had a fascinating interaction with a seven-and-a-half-year-old the other day. His mother had been teaching the home schooled youngster about karma, and he had replied that he didn’t believe in it. This struck a chord in me because I, too, had held a similar belief not so long ago.

She explained that karma meant patterns in your life where when you did something to someone it came back to you and affected you. The old saying, “What goes around, comes around.”

I thought of the idea of a boomerang and brought this up. Turns out this youngster had a friend who owned an authentic New Zealand boomerang and supposedly knew how to use it. Whenever he threw the boomerang, it did not come back to him. It flew out and landed pouf on the ground somewhere.

“So,” the boy said to me, “no karma. The boomerang doesn’t come back to you.”

His mother promptly said, “How do we work with that?”

I considered this and saw a sort of duality. On the one hand, karma, and with it a kind of fear-creating idea or belief that what you do can come back and get you. On the other hand, the idea of there not being karma felt freeing and much safer to me.

Mentally, I went into no karma meaning that you’re not responsible for what you send out because it doesn’t come back to you, and, the ripples that come off the actions you take or the energy you send off can’t be controlled, interpreted, or followed into infinity. This seemed to me to offer a sort of vesica piscis, an intersect between two views. I liked that.

I said to the boy that I could understand how he thought, that I myself liked to look at the two sides of things and see both, allow both.

But addressing his mother’s question in a way that might have meaning for him, I began–off the cuff–with the idea of energy and how even though we can’t see it, the boy’s energy shot the boomerang out and even though it didn’t come back to him like in a ricochet action, there was an energetic connection of some sort and so that which he sent out he was responsible for.

He didn’t get it.

Earlier he had hurt his little sister. When I asked him why he had done it, he refused to answer. I explained that being a children’s writer, I often use real children in my stories. His reason for hurting his sister could help me create a character who had the same reason for doing something in a story.

This engaged him. He said he did it for revenge. (This, from a seven-year-old quite blew me away, so if you’re seven and you think and use words like this, you could make a comment below and quite blow me away).

I considered what he said, and from revenge saw the link to hurt. He wanted to hurt his sister. The why of it didn’t seem important.

I told the boy, “You’re a JEDI Master. It’s like you sent the light from your light saber out to hurt your sister, but because you’re still holding the light saber, what you sent out came back to hurt you.”

“How?” he asked, a bit gruff and ticked off.

“You got in trouble with your mother, didn’t you? You hurt your sister and that got you in trouble.”

His face remained blank but I felt the energy in the room shift. He told me about a light saber he had made with leggos and ran off to retrieve it to show it to me. I had been a stranger before. Now, I had become Obi Wan Kenobe, friend.

What do you think about what I’ve discussed here?

Parents, kids, teachers, let’s get a discussion going. Comments are welcomed on POFFF.COM

The Hidden Messages in Water

Water Crystal for Truth

Since we’ve been looking at water horses, sea horses and sea dragons, and about cracking codes, it came to me to bring up something that could change your life.

Dr. Masaru Emoto from Japan did research on water using a variety of words. He discovered that words have incredible power as well as a vibration. He photographed the results. The photos are available on line and in several books he’s published.

Certain words like joy, love, courtesy, and happiness created beautiful balanced water crystals while other words like war and hate created a crystal that was malformed and often looked like the word used on it.

Take a look also at Dr. Emoto’s research on music and how different types affect the formation of water crystals. Heavy metal looks like it could truly impact our ears in ways that might very well affect our hearing! To me the crystal looks damaged, even eroded. Just imagine if the crystal were your ears.

Taking this even further, if words can affect water, imagine their impact on us and on those we care about. We’re made up of mostly water, so kind, loving words spoken to ourselves are better for us than something that could cause pain or destruction.

What do you think? And if you find a cool site about the hidden messages in water, let the POFFF Master know by leaving a comment below.

Books into movies – The Water Horse

For those of you who might enjoy acting, be thinking of it, or have questions about how actors create their characters, the Pofff Master took this opportunity to continue connecting to young actor, Alex Etel, of the upcoming movie, The Water Horse, which came from a book by Dick King-Smith, who wrote Babe. Alex had to pretend a tennis ball was the water horse for part of the filming of the movie. If you had to do the same thing, would you be able to pretend well enough to make it believable?

Alex wrote: i didnt read the book before but as soon as i got the part i started reading it
i took part in this because there is not many movies like this round at the minute and its a family script so i loved it
the book kind of attracted me to the film kind of because its a dick-king smith book
for me it was so hard to react to a tennis ball because i feel so stupid
the main thing is the self conciousnous is really hard to get over
–Alex

The Pofff Master understands feeling stupid and self-conscious. Many of us go through this. It is human. But actors – the good ones – have the ability to take feelings like this and use those feelings in a way that turns them around or transforms them into other emotions that the characters may be feeling.

We don’t have Alex here to question him about how he overcame or dealt with this feeling, but if an actor or you and I feel stupid, embarrassed, ashamed, or self-conscious and we can’t let go of it or use it, what can we do? I wonder if some of the adults in the film The Water Horse like Emily Watson or Ben Chaplin helped Alex. I wonder if director Jay Russell helped him with this.

Ask people you know who you admire what they do if they feel stupid or ashamed about something they did or had to do.

Meanwhile in an interview (click on Ben Chaplin) above, both Alex and Ben spoke of working in the water for the film. Some of us, like Ben Chaplin, have fear of water. If you have this fear, look at the slide.com slideshow above this Books into movies post.

  • Place your hands on your belly.
  • Think of something you’re struggling with or afraid of
  • Feel under your hands
  • Gaze at the picture and pretend you can drink it–all the colors
  • Taste it as it goes into your mouth. What flavor is it? Grape? Cherry? Pina Colada?
  • Feel how it goes down your throat into your chest, upper belly, stomach
  • Breathe slow and deep
  • Take another drink… feel how it goes down throat-chest-stomach
  • Repeat for as long as you need
